Spock was almost able to damp down the rush of pleasure he felt at Kirk's pronouncement. Great sentence, that one. Well, Spock, Kirk has that effect, doesn't he?
And I loved this one here so much too: "Now I will forever hold it in my mind and my heart as the day my life truly began." Ah,and thank god Kirk figured out a way to celebrate, Earth time calculation or not :) And how very well he had picked the gift - that's Kirk for you. Or for Spock in this case <3
