It's that time of year again

Time for my annual sabbatical to Shore Leave. But first, off to England for two weeks. My plane leaves this afternoon for Chicago, then it's off to London, barring any unforeseen weather events. They're saying today should be clear, but the threat of "severe weather" was "slight" yesterday and the siren to warn for tornadoes went off at 1:15 this morning. Talk about a new experience.

Anyway, I hope I don't miss too much here, though I'm sure I will.

Ah, the joys of the siren going off in the early, early morning...

Isn't it great you're at the beginning of all this fun? Two weeks in England and then a con with like-minded friends! I'm envious. *g* I hope you have a wonderful time! I know you had a ton of places lined up for England, so good luck with the itinerary as well!

We managed to visit all the places on my itinerary and then some! But I haven't walked so much in a long time. The con afterwards was the icing on the cake...and something of a rest.

Well, you don't have to be too much. *g* Chicago was just a stopover and I was only in London for one day. Just long enough to visit with another friend, go to the Lambeth Palace library and catch a plane for Baltimore!

I did, indeed! But considering I was indulging my two passions, Richard III and fandom, how could I not? :-)
