You're very right about the scientific aspect, which is usually overlooked. I did, lol. Spock tries to follow the scientific method, but is stymied time and time again but his subordinate underlings. I should have listened to his head, not their hearts.

Lol, yes, I did read KCS's story with my pre-K/S goggles on. I can't seem to help it!

We're all allowed to write, and read, whatever we desire. :-) While I've never written gen in Star Trek, I have written stories, like this one, that don't have a hardcore sex scene. Anyway, since I enjoyed Reining In McCoy, I'm looking forward to reading Physician, Heal Thyself. Especially since it sounds as if it's very much a McCoy story. I don't minding reading gen under those circumstances. It's when Kirk or Spock are without the other that I have problems! *g*
